I think this song is either about having a hard time waking up in the morning or having a very traumatic emotion incident that left someone feeling lost and almost broken. Either or, I can't be sure..

lyrics
And as I lose control
I know I won’t be found
Just let me be alone
It’s not that far away
Its closing in on me
Too late to just go home
Fuck trying to fight
Fuck trying to stay alive
Pick up the fucking phone
I’m losing my grip
And the light’s starting to fade
I’m about to be overthrown
Chrorus
So let me sit here melt into my fate
As I come to grip with things that don’t relate
‘cause if you have something to demonstrate
I think my mind would start to overpopulate
So plug your bleeding ears
And close your bloodshot eyes
Just shut it all away
Sit up straight
Articulate
Now go outside and play
But I can’t wake up
I can’t tell if I’m alive
Don’t know if I can find my way
I’m losing my grip
And the lights starting to fade
It’s such a beautiful fucking day
So glad this band has come on my radar. If this album had come out in '94/95 it would be considered a classic, a la Trashed or Leche Con Carne. Also the vid for Breakfast at Pamela's is straight-out genius. LukeSpurs
This is ATD firing on all cylinders creatively. Hardcore, punk jumping shredders, anthemic, gang chant-y street punk--this album is all muscle. 'A Total Disappointment' is what a 20 minute powder keg sounds like. thewreckedneck
